Sharjah Book Fair; The Malayalam version of Perumal Murugan's Alandapakshi was released by Dubai News Managing Director Nisar Sayed


Sharjah: The Malayalam version of Tamil writer Perumal Murugan's novel Alandapakki was released by Dubai News Managing Director Nisar Syed to Airmaster International Executive Director Firoz Abdullah at the 39th International Book Fair at the Sharjah Expo Centre. This novel by Perumal Murugan has been translated into Malayalam by renowned writer Idamon Rajan. The launch ceremony was held at the pavilion of Olive Publications, the publisher of the book.
Alandapakki is a great read for those who do not see relationships as bonds but want to mend broken ties. The plot of this novel is the struggles of a farming family who is forced to leave the bonds of the extended family and leave the country due to the compulsion of relatives.
Praveen Palakkal introduced the book at the event.
