A compensation of two and a half lakh dirhams to a Pakistani national who was injured in an accident.

The court ruled to pay compensation of two crore Pakistani rupees (two and a half lakh dirhams) including court costs to Zaheer Abbas, a Pakistani national who was injured in an accident involving a pickup truck and a bike in Ras Al Khaimah, through the intervention of Salam Pappinissery, CEO of Yab Legal Services.

On December 30, 2022, in Ras Al Khaimah, an Ajman-registered pickup truck driven by a Pakistani driver hit Zaheer Abbas's bike, injuring him. The accident occurred when the vehicle overtook him at a roundabout without checking for other vehicles. Zaheer Abbas, who was seriously injured in the accident, was immediately admitted to the hospital and treated.

The police registered a case against the driver of the pickup truck that caused the accident and the court found him guilty and fined him Dh1,500.

Meanwhile, the relatives of Zaheer Abbas, who was seriously injured in the accident, approached YAB LEGAL SERVICES CEO O Salam Pappinissery and filed a case. Under his leadership, a case was registered against the insurance company that insured the pickup truck that caused the accident. After submitting the necessary documents, the court examined the documents submitted to the court, such as the medical report, police report, criminal case judgment, memorandum, etc., and ordered the court to pay two lakh fifty thousand dirhams (approximately 2 crore Pakistani rupees) as compensation.
