On December 2, 2019, at 1 am, Tanveer was crossing the road on foot within the limits of the Muraqabat Police Station in Dubai when he was hit by a vehicle driven by an Iranian national and injured. Tanveer, who was critically injured, was immediately admitted to Rashid Hospital.

The police registered a case against the Iranian national who was driving the vehicle and released him after paying a fine of 1000 dirhams. However, Tanveer, who suffered a fractured right shoulder joint and a broken bone in his right leg in the accident, did not receive any compensation for the accident. That is how Tanveer's relatives approached Salam Pappinissery, CEO of YAB LEGAL SERVICES, to discuss the matter. He sought information and initiated legal proceedings to obtain compensation.

The compensation case was registered by including the driver of the vehicle and the insurance company as the opposing parties along with all the documents, including the police report proving that the car driver was at fault, the medical report showing Tanveer's injuries.

The insurance authority, after examining all the documents submitted by Tanveer's advocate, found that the injury was real and ordered the insurance company to pay three hundred thousand dirhams in compensation.

However, the insurance company of the vehicle approached the Dubai Civil Court, arguing that the amount awarded by the court was excessive and that Tanveer's injuries were minor, but the court dismissed the argument due to lack of concrete evidence. Although the appeal was later approached, Tanveer's lawyer submitted a detailed reply memorandum, so the appeal case was dismissed and the same three hundred thousand dirhams (9 million Bangladeshi dhakas) awarded by the Insurance Authority was awarded to Tanveer as compensation.
