Compensation of 220,000 dirhams to Tamil Nadu native, who was injured in a car accident.
A Dubai court has ordered the compensation of 220,000 dirhams (approximately 50 lakh Indian rupees) to Tamil Nadu native David Prashanth Pratabhan, who was injured in a car accident in Dubai, through the intervention of YAB LEGAL SERVICES CEO Salam Pappinissery.

On April 5, 2022, a car was driven carelessly and at high speed on Sheikh Rashid Road under the jurisdiction of Dubai Rafah Police Station, hitting a street light post on the roadside, injuring David, the passenger in the car.
The Dubai Criminal Court, which found that the accident was caused by non-compliance with traffic rules, fined the driver Dh1,000 and released him. On this occasion, a compensation case was registered with the Insurance Authority, making the insurance company that insured the car the opposing party. David approached Salam Pappinissery, CEO of YAB LEGAL SERVICES, to take legal action in this regard.
David's lawyer argued before the court that the insurance company that insured the vehicle should pay compensation since David was seriously injured and the cause of the injury was the negligence of the driver. After hearing the arguments, the court ordered the insurance company to pay one hundred and forty thousand (140K) dirhams as compensation.
However, realizing that this amount was not enough for David, who had seriously injured his right leg and right arm, David's lawyer filed a case with the Dubai Civil Court, requesting an increase in the amount, submitting the necessary documents including the medical report, criminal case judgment, memorandum, etc. At the same time, the insurance company had also filed a civil case claiming that this amount was excessive. However, after hearing arguments from both sides, the court increased the compensation amount to Rs. 220,000 and rejected the insurance company's arguments.
