Compensation of one million dirhams to a Pakistani national who was injured in a bike accident.
Dubai: A Dubai court has ordered the compensation of one million dirhams (76.7 million Pakistani rupees) to Nasser Muhammad, a Pakistani national who was injured in a bike accident near Muraqabat Police Station, through the intervention of Salam Pappinissery, CEO of Yab Legal Services.

On April 25, 2019, a pedestrian, Nasser Mohammed, a Pakistani national, was hit by a motorcycle driven by another Pakistani national. Nasser, who was seriously injured in the accident, was immediately taken to Sheikh Rashid Hospital and treated. The court found the biker guilty of reckless driving and imposed a fine of 5,000 dirhams and suspended his license for 3 months. However, Nasser, who had been undergoing treatment for three months due to the injuries he sustained in the accident, approached Salam Papinissery, CEO of Yab Legal Services in the UAE, seeking compensation for the damages he suffered. He intervened to complete the court proceedings for Nasser, who had lost his memory due to a head injury and had been in a coma for several days, and submitted the case to the insurance court, demanding that the client's condition be very serious and compensation be granted for treatment and other expenses as soon as possible. The court, considering all of Nasser's demands, ordered the insurance company to pay one million dirhams (i.e. 7 crore 67 lakh Pakistani rupees) in compensation. However, the insurance company, dissatisfied with the verdict, approached the civil and appellate courts seeking a review of the verdict, but the court rejected them.
