The accident occurred on December 14, 2021, when two trucks and a car traveling from Dubai to Abu Dhabi collided. The truck suddenly skidded and collided with a vehicle parked on the side of the road due to a technical fault. Saifullah, a Pakistani national who was repairing the damage to the vehicle, and another person were injured in the lightning strike, resulting in Saifullah's right arm being amputated and his leg being broken. He was immediately admitted to Dubai's Rashid Hospital and provided specialist treatment. The police found that the truck driver's negligence was the cause of the accident and referred the case to the criminal court, where the court sentenced him to a fine of three thousand dirhams for causing bodily harm and property damage to another person.

However, Saifullah, who was in a critical condition and hospitalized with his right arm and leg amputated, needed a huge sum of money for treatment expenses and other expenses. Saifullah approached Yab Legal Services CEO Salam Pappinissery, demanding compensation. Immediately, under his leadership, a petition was filed in the Dubai Civil Court for compensation, making the company that insured the vehicle that caused the accident the opposing party. The court, which considered the petition, ordered the insurance company to pay one million dirhams in compensation.

However, the insurance company approached the Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court, stating that the amount awarded was too high and that the amount was not calculated on the basis of the medical report. However, Saifullah's lawyer appeared against their arguments and informed the court through reports that his client had already lost two organs and that he would still have to face many problems in the future. After considering the petitions, the court upheld the argument of Saifullah's lawyer and ordered him to pay one million dirhams, i.e. 7 crore 61 lakh Pakistani rupees.
