On March 22, 2022, while driving a vehicle from Abu Dhabi Baniyas to the intersection, the accident occurred when a vehicle driven by a Pakistani national was hit by an oncoming vehicle. Syed Akbar Shah, a Pakistani national, was injured in the accident and was transferred to the hospital for treatment. The police, who investigated the cause of the accident, found that the opposing party had driven the vehicle to the intersection without paying attention to the traffic board, registered a criminal case and presented him to the court. The court found the accused guilty and fined him two thousand dirhams.

Then, when Syed Akbar Shah, who was undergoing treatment in the hospital, was facing difficulties in his daily life due to heavy medical expenses, he approached Salam Pappinissery, CEO of Yab Legal Services in the UAE, for compensation. Under his leadership, he filed a case in court against the company that insured the vehicle and demanded compensation. The court, considering the petition, ordered Akbar Shah to pay 1.5 lakh dirhams, but Akbar's lawyer approached the civil court, stating that the amount awarded was insufficient for the financial and moral losses he had suffered. Although the opposing parties argued in the civil court that the amount awarded was high and the injury was not serious, the evidence presented by Akbar's lawyer made those arguments look childish. The court, which then examined the documents submitted by both parties, increased the one and a half lakh dirhams awarded by the insurance court to two lakh twenty thousand (i.e. 1 crore 67 lakh Pakistani rupees). Although the opposing parties approached the Court of Appeal against this, the court rejected the petition.
