Family of Indian national, who died in a car accident, to pay three hundred and five thousand dirhams in compensation.
A Dubai court has ordered the family of Indian national Mohammed Abdul Asir, who died in a car accident in Dubai, to pay three hundred and five thousand dirhams (69 lakh Indian rupees) in compensation, through the intervention of Yab Legal Services CEO Salam Pappinissery.

On August 3, 2021, a vehicle driven by a Pakistani national with about ten passengers collided with a vehicle driven by an Egyptian national within the limits of Khawaneej police station. Eight people were seriously injured and one person died in the accident.
The police investigated the accident and filed an FIR and submitted the case to the court. The criminal court found the accident to be due to the Egyptian national parking the vehicle in the middle of the road without taking necessary precautions and the Pakistani national speeding. The criminal court found both guilty and sentenced them to three months in prison and a fine of two lakh rupees.
Abdul Asir's family then approached the civil court to seek further compensation through Salam Pappinissery, CEO of Yab Legal Service. His lawyer filed a petition in the civil court for this, but the court rejected it. He immediately approached the Court of Appeal and requested that the deceased Aseer be given more compensation, as he was a dependent of the family. After hearing all the arguments, the court accepted the family's request and awarded an additional one lakh five thousand dirhams. Thus, the family received a total of three lakh five thousand dirhams (69 lakh Indian rupees) in compensation through the intervention of Salam Pappinissery.
