On September 22, 2020, two buses collided on the Truck Road in Baniyas, Abu Dhabi. Three people died and three were injured in the accident. Following the accident, the police conducted an investigation and filed a case against the bus driver who caused the accident. The court found that the accident was the result of the driver’s negligence and the fact that he crossed from his lane to the opposite lane while driving without following traffic rules. The court ordered a fine of 10,000 dirhams and a compensation of 200,000 dirhams to the family of the deceased in accordance with Article 3 of Federal Law No. 5 of 2017.

The death of Ramalingam, who was the only support of the family, further complicated the situation for the heirs, who were out of the country and had difficulty obtaining compensation. They then approached Salam Pappinissery, CEO of Yab Legal Services, who has years of experience in compensation cases, and informed him of their demands. Immediately, under his leadership, they approached the Sharia Court and submitted a petition, attaching the inheritance certificates certified by the government of Ramalingam and the court verdict. The court, after considering the petition, distributed the dowry to the family of 4 daughters according to their inheritance rights.
