The court has ordered the payment of five lakh dirhams to a Nepalese national who was injured in a car accident.
The court has ordered the payment of five lakh dirhams (one crore 80 lakh Nepalese rupees) to Rita Sivabhakti, a Nepalese national who was injured in a car accident in Al Musaffah, Abu Dhabi, through the intervention of Yab Legal Services CEO Salam Pappinissery.

The accident occurred on January 16, 2020, when a bus and a truck traveling from Abu Dhabi's Sas Al Nakheel to Al Shahama collided. The truck overtook the bus in front and slowed down quickly. However, the bus behind it lost control and hit the truck, killing several people and injuring many others. The police investigated the causes of the accident through CCTV footage and prepared a report, and it was understood that the cause of the accident was another vehicle crossing in front of the truck without warning. The owner of the vehicle was immediately found and the case was filed in the criminal court. Although the first instance court sentenced him, the appeal court acquitted him.
A Nepali woman who was seriously injured in an accident approached Salam Pappinissery, CEO of Yab Legal Services in the UAE, for compensation and conveyed her difficulties. Immediately, under his leadership, the case was filed in the Insurance Court, but the amount that considered all the needs of the party was not allowed, so on his instructions, the case was filed in the Civil Court. Understanding the needs, the court increased the three lakh dirhams awarded by the Insurance Court to five lakh dirhams (one crore 80 lakh Nepalese rupees). The opposing parties approached the Court of Appeal against this, but the court rejected it.
