Sharjah: The Global Pravasi Association has welcomed the decision of the authorities to reduce the Rapid PCR test fee to Rs 1200 at airports in Kerala. Salam Pappinissery, Chairman of the Global Pravasi Association, said that this step by the authorities will provide relief to the expatriates.
Until now, the Rapid PCR test was charged from Rs 2490 at various airports in Kerala. The new law came into effect from midnight on Tuesday, February 8. This step by the government to provide temporary relief to the expatriates has come amid protests from the expatriate community demanding that the RTPCR charged at the airport be made free like it is in foreign countries.
