The SNDP Yogam organized the prize distribution ceremony.

On the occasion of the 89th Sivagiri Pilgrimage, the SNDP Yogam (Sevanam) organized the prize distribution ceremony for the winners of the Gurudev's works recitation competitions at the UAE level and a review of the 89th Pilgrimage was organized on March 12th at 8 pm at the Ajman Social Center Hall.

On the occasion, Advocate Y. A. Rahim, a prominent social activist in the UAE and the 14th President of the Sharjah Indian Association, was presented with a gold medal by S.N.D.P. Yogam UAE Vice Chairman Sreedharan Prasad and Secretary Shri K.S. Vachaspati. Salam Pappinissery, Legal Representative and Chairman of the Global Pravasi Association, Shri Sivadasan, General Convener of the 89th Sivagiri Pilgrimage, Shri J.R.C. Babu, Finance Convener of the Poovar Pilgrimage Committee, and others were honored with plaques of appreciation.

Muhammad Aseem, a symbol of determination who swam the 800-meter Periyar in 61 minutes despite his physical disabilities, was given a cash award as a helping hand for his service.

In the meeting chaired by Central Committee Vice Chairman Sreedharan Prasad, Sharjah Indian Association President Shri Y.A. Rahim delivered the keynote address and Shri Salam Pappinissery conveyed his greetings. Shri Aseem's inspiring speech instilled confidence in the children.

Those who secured the first position in the Gurudeva Kirtan recitation competitions were given a gold coin and a plaque of appreciation, while those who secured the second position were given a plaque of appreciation and a Kirti Patra. All the participants in the competition were given Kirti Patra.

After the award ceremony, Shri Sivadasan presented the Poovar pilgrimage review report. Shri JRC Babu presented the income and expenditure account and passed it. Mrs. Usha Sivadasan, Assistant Secretary Mr. Suresh Thirukulam, Media Convener Mr. Sudheesh Sugathan were present on the stage.

Secretary Mr. K. S. Vachaspati welcomed the gathering and Assistant Secretary Shine K. Das proposed the vote of thanks.
