The accident occurred on April 14, 2020, in Mirdif, Dubai, when the bike driven by Pakistani national Mian Mohammed lost control and hit the pavement. .The police tried to take Mian, who was lying on the ground bleeding due to the impact of the lightning, to Rashid Hospital for treatment, but Mian died in the ambulance on the way. The police registered a criminal case, but the criminal court decided to stay the case, saying that the complaint would not stand since the accused was dead.

Miyan's family approached Salam Pappinissery, CEO of Yab Legal Services in the UAE, saying that Miyan's death was beyond our means in every way, that the vehicle was insured, and that compensation should be obtained from the insurance company. Then, under his leadership, a case was filed with the insurance company as the opposing party. However, the insurance company told the court that there was a fault on Miyan's part and that the accident was caused by his carelessness and excessive speed, and therefore it was difficult to pay compensation. After examining the documents submitted, the court ordered the insurance company to pay two lakh dirhams (one crore 53 lakh Pakistani rupees) as compensation to Miyan's family.
